History of the R8

With the experience Audi garnered from Lamborghini they are in a superb position to add a supercar to the R8 lineup. Taking the familar engines and placing them in an all new Audi body they have created an awesome supercar. Based on the 4.2 Litre FSI engine in a V8 layout the R8 is in my opinion the ultimate Audi ever made. It is hailed as one of the most usable supercars around. With the stunning quattro drive system it holds the road and has little trouble putting down the power and pushing you into your seat as you accelerate towards the Horizon. Compared to other similar spec cars the R8 is easy to drive, predictable and really rewards the driver with a thrilling experience.

New GT was released which is an R8 on steroids. Also a Limited edition Lemans version again with more performance and power tweaks. Then later we have the spider, cabriolet versions added to the R8 lineup.
